Xiaoning Wang’s Biography

Xiaoning Wang, the founder of ChinaSprout.com, was born and raised in Beijing, China. Before starting her own e-business, she worked for IBM in China, Dresdner Bank in Germany, and CNBC in the US. She has an MBA in Marketing from the Zinklin School of Business, Baruch College in New York. Ms. Wang founded ChinaSprout.com in June 1999 in New York. At its inception, ChinaSprout was created to satisfy the increasing demand among families who had adopted children from China for educational and cultural materials. It provided resources to both teach and learn about Chinese culture. By ChinaSprout’s first anniversary, it was clear that ChinaSprout was needed to fulfill the needs of a much broader virtual community that included not only adoptive families, but also newly immigrated Chinese, Chinese Americans, and anyone interested in Chinese culture. Today, ChinaSprout offers the most comprehensive collection of unique Chinese cultural and educational products, as well as community services, available online and through our catalogs.

ChinaSprout is a retailer of Chinese cultural and educational products. Our cultural products include Olympic Mascots, Olympic T-shirts, Chinese music, Chinese arts and crafts, Chinese home décor, Chinese tea sets, Chinese jewelry, Chinese holiday decorations, Chinese toys, Chinese clothing such as Chinese silk dresses and qipaos, Chinese pajamas and much more.
