Chinese Wisdom of the Week

"An old saying goes, "Leave scraps of food out so that the mice don't starve, and blow out the candle so that the poor moths don't burn to death." This merciful attitude of the ancients is what enables mankind to propogate and flourish. Without such a kind heart, a man is no more than a soulless empty shell." - Tending the Roots of Wisdom

This bit of Chinese wisdom encourages us to treat others thoughtfully and with kindness. Our hearts go out to everyone who was affected by the hurricane this past week. The outpouring of support from across the globe is a testament to the kindness that is in the world. We hope that you and your family are safe from harm and encourage everyone to come together and let your kind hearts shine a light in the darkness for those who are hurting. Have a wonderful Moon Festival and we hope you enjoy your time with family and friends looking up at the bright, full moon.
