This cute card is designed with the Chinese character Fu - Good Luck and a cat holding Chinese character Zhao Fu - Looking for Good Luck. Blank inside. The back of the card says "Maneki neko, literally "beckoning cat." Meneki nekos is thought to have originated in Japan in the middle to late nineteenth century. Often taking the form of ceramic figurines, meneki nekos are typically displayed at the entryways and windows of businesses and homes. The cats are believed to usher in success and prosperity to businesses and happiness and good fortune into homes.
