Adapted from the ancient Chinese novel "Journey to the West", this lively animated film depicts one of the most popular of the Monkey King stories. The Monkey King, Bajie (a pig), and Sha Heshang (a Buddhist monk) steal ginseng behind the back of another Buddhist monk, Xuan Zang. Daxian who is immortal arrests them. But the Monkey King helps Daxian restore his formerly destroyed trees. Daxian thanks the Monkey King and allows the tree of them to continue their journey to the West.
