Targeted at advanced students, the book series features stories of impressive Chinese people, who displayed great wisdom and intelligence both in history and in modern times, such as Zhu Geliang and Jack Ma among others. The illustrated stories are presented with Chinese and English texts, new vocabulary explanations, sample sentences, and exercises designed according to the IB syllabus. Each story incorporates about 2500 words with 300 key vocabulary words and 60 new words.  

“中国智慧故事系列汉语读物”是表现中国人的聪明才智的外宣读物，其读者对象是国际学校学习IB中文课程的中高年级学生及外国汉语学习者。该系列读物用彩虹桥一级词汇编写，包含智慧故事（中英对照），生词注释和例句（词汇量为300词左右，生词控制在60个左右）、练习题（根据IB考试阅读及口语题型设计）和答案等。每个故事正文长度在2500字左右，配有专色插图。《谁的钱？》表现了一个聪明的市场管理员通过智慧解决了一场纷争的故事。
