The comprehensive book series is intended for foreign students of short-term courses at the starting point of learning Chinese. The series is composed of four books, with ten units in each of the book. Each unit includes six parts: warming-up exercises, context, description, class interactive activities, new words and Chinese.com.  About eight weeks are needed (160 class hours) to complete teaching and learning process. According to the Chinese proficiency of the short-term students, teachers are flexible in choosing books to use. Workbooks is available.

《汉语十日通1:入门篇(汉英版)》是一套专为短期班零起点的外国学生设计编写的初级汉语综合教材。全套教材共四册，每册10课，完成《汉语十日通》的教学任务需要160学时，大约8周。教师可以根据短期班学生的实际水平灵活选用。
