Green Readers is the fifth of six levels in the Mandarin Reader series for children learning the Chinese language. Each book contains a fun, fully illustrated story presented in your choice of either Simplified or Traditional Chinese characters, with an English translation and vocabulary list provided at the back of each book. Characters and sentence structures used are reading level appropriate. A unique feature sees the Pinyin gradually removed as the reader progresses through the story, in order to encourage character recognition skills.

Green Readers Set A introduces over 100 words and phrases, including mathematical concepts, adverbs, everyday objects and verbs, adjectives, more complex sentence structures and speech. It consists of six books: The Haircut, The New Sofa, Farmer Lou’s New Shoes, Rugby, Making Pizza, Sam Helps Mum.

Green Readers Set B introduces over 100 words and phrases, including mathematical concepts, adverbs, everyday objects and verbs, adjectives, more complex sentence structures and speech. It consists of six books: Same and Different, The Loose Tooth, Grandad’s Garden, My Accident, I Don’t Feel Well, At the Library.
