《魔術盒》叢書是用全語文方法編寫的圖畫故事書。故事取材自幼童熟悉的生活經驗，或感興趣的事物；文字簡潔，句式重複，幼童容易掌握字詞；細緻的插圖訓練幼童的觀察力、聯想力和猜測故事發展的能力。

本叢書適合3歲至7歲幼童閱讀，按程度分為7輯。每輯附有12本小書、1隻CD（廣東話和普通話），幫助幼童習得書面語和普通話。成人每天只需花15分鐘和孩子一起閱讀，便可以幫助幼童自小養成閱讀的興趣、能力和習慣。幼童完成這84個故事，認讀了720多個單字，1050多個字詞，便能自行閱讀淺顯的圖畫故事書和插圖書了。
