The tiny town of Chewandswallow was very much like any other tiny town except for its weather which came three times a day, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. But it never rained rain and it never snowed snow and it never blew just wind. It rained things like soup and juice. It snowed things like mashed potatoes. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers. Life for the townspeople was delicious until the weather took a turn for the worse. The food got larger and larger and so did the portions. Chewandswallow was plagues by damaging floods and storms of huge food. The town was a mess and the people feared for their lives. Something had to be done, and in a hurry. Ages 4-8.

吧唧吧唧小镇和别的小镇一样，有街道、有花园、有学校。不同的是，这里没有卖食物的商店。尽管如此，小镇居民的生活中却不乏美味。因为这儿下雨的时候不下雨珠，下雪的时候不下雪花，刮来的也不只是单纯的风——从天而降的是各种美味的食物。可是有一天，天气变糟了。面对着堆满街道的肉丸、汉堡和番茄，人们开始害怕起来……
