"May 17: Today, I am born! This is a beautiful sunny spring day!"

The mantis and her approximately 150 siblings were born in a bush. She has some special skills: when in danger, she can pretend to be a small branch; her head can turn; when she grows up, she will have wings! She records her life in a diary, sharing interesting and wonderful things in her world, and some ups and downs ("I eat one of my brothers. Well, maybe two.") Children are introduced to the life cycle of the insects they are familiar with.
