The Level I, Part 2 workbook (2nd edition) follows the format of the textbook and has four components:

• Listening Comprehension: Listen to the workbook and textbook audio cassette and answer questions.
• Speaking Exercises: Answer questions in Chinese based on the dialogues.
• Reading Comprehension: Read and answer questions in Chinese.
• The latest 3rd edition includes many spoken and written exercises that simulate daily life with topics and themes that are relevant and personal to each student. Revised and new exercises reflect the language used in real life and build skills students need to communicate in today's rapidly changing world. Recordings for listening exercises are available on the audio CDs (sold separately).
• Writing and Grammar Exercises: Sentence formation and completion activities, translation and composition.
