New Practical Chinese Reader (Spanish Annotation) Textbook is a new series of textbooks designed for native English speakers to learn Chinese. It has been compiled under the guidance of the new NOTCFL Syllabus and in consultation with the HSK Guideline. The objective of this series is to develop the student's ability to communicate using Chinese through the study of language structure, language function, and related cultural knowledge along with the training of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
It consists of seventy lessons in six volumes each of which includes Textbook, Workbook and Instructor’s Manual. Volumes 1-4 with 50 lessons are for beginning and pre-intermediate levels; volumes 5 and 6 with 20 lessons are for intermediate level. Each lesson includes Text, New Words, Notes, Conversation Practice, Reading Comprehension and Paraphrasing, Phonetics and Pronunciation Drills, Grammar, Characters and Cultural Notes.
