Er Hu by Min Hui Fen MCC076

Enjoy Erhu music played by one of the most popular Erhu artists in modern China. The chief critic of the Boston Symphony Orchestra lauded Min Hui-fen as "one of the best string performers in the world." Min's performance style is often rich in passion, touching yet not overpowering, exaggerating yet controlled, plaintive but not injured. Erhu is an ancient instrument, dating back to the Song Dynasty. It is extremely popular in China today as a medium for both traditional and contemporary music. The Erhu is capable of producing music with a flexibility approaching that of the human voice. To hear a sample clip, click here if you use Firefox. Click here if you use Internet Explorer
