These Chinese reading cards are a great way to get your child or students started on Chinese characters. Use the cards to create a variety of interactive learning opportunities and games including flash card study, memory, and Snatch. A fun way to begin working on fundamentals.
Teaching Method:
- Take out the first 5 cards. Show your student the first word and using a clear, audible voice, say "Daddy". Do the same for the other 4 words. When you have finished reading the 5 words, turn around and show your student the first picture, while using the same clear audible voice, read out what the child is seeing. Do the same for the rest of the pictures.
- For children above 1 year old, conduct 3 sessions daily. In each session, teach 5 words. Teach the same 5 words for the first 5 days. On the 6th day onwards, remove 1 old word and add in 1 new word.
- To play a game of Snatch, spread out word cards that the students have learned. Do not overlap. Shout out a word and see who finds it first. The one who snatches the most words, wins!
