《我自己会读》丛书是一套用《全语文》方法编写的故事书。完成阅读这些图画故事书，幼童轻松有趣地认读了840多个单字，1600多个字词和不同的句式，及学习多种阅读策略的运用，得到提早阅读的乐趣和功效。巩固所学，需要温习。《我自己会读练习本》中，每个故事均附有四个不同形式的游戏，温习所学的字词。孩子做练习时，请成人先为他们解题。透过插图提示、重复句式等，三岁的幼童已可“念口黄”地把故事读出来，但写字却需要他们运用小肌肉的能力及手眼协调成熟，才容易得到成功。因此，写字这部分练习请在孩子四岁后才做，并请注意：认读字词，有时笔画越多，反而容易学会；写字应该先选笔画较少的字着手，先写横直，后写撇捺折笔；写字不宜一次过重复多次，否则成了机械性的练习，幼童写第六七个字时，错误就出现。因此，每次写五个，分多次练习比一次要写上个十遍或二十遍来得好。《我自己会读练习本》共分八本，配合《我自己会读》丛书的编排，四岁至七岁儿童适用。
